What is collected

For every page view, this site records on the server: the time, the path you asked for, the site you came from, your country and city, your network operator, your browser, operating system and device class, and a visitor identifier. The identifier is derived by hashing your IP address together with your browser string and a random salt that changes every day and is deleted after 48 hours, so it cannot be reversed. The raw IP address and the raw browser string are never stored.

The small script

One inline script measures how long the page was open and how far down it was scrolled, and posts that back once. It runs only when your browser has not sent Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

What is not done

No cookies are set for visitors. There is no third-party analytics, no advertising, and no cross-site tracking.

Who and why

The controller is Bahadır Gezer. The legal basis is legitimate interest in understanding what is read. The processor is Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts the site.

Your rights

You can object by messaging via the GitHub profile linked on /about. You can also complain to your national data protection authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Retention

Raw view records are kept 13 months, then deleted.
